Fordland Falls In Championship

In the Championship game of the Galena Lady Bear Classic, Blue Eye’s defense prevailed to defeat Fordland 45-37.

Fordland started off strong, scoring 18 points in the first quarter to lead 18–11 at the end of the first.

Fordland was held to only 19 points the last three quarters for the of the game thanks to Blue Eye’s defense.

Blue Eye and all performers were led by Kaylee Wilson, who earned the tournament MVP award with 19. With 12 for Blue Eye, Hailey Hobbs also scored in double digits. Emma Trotter’s 16 points led Fordland.

Kenzie Haskins and Trotter were both named to the All Tournament Team.
