Busy Week At Fordland

If a person is a sports fan and is looking for something to do, look no further than the Fordland High School sports schedule. This week is full of home games by both the Fordland boys and girls basketball teams. Monday night the Lady Eagles will welcome in the Conway Lady Bears. Tuesday night is a boys game against the Norwood Pirates. Thursday night the action continues with the Gainesville Lady Bulldogs coming to town and finally on Friday night is the boys against Marion C. Early which will also be Homecoming.

Monday and Thursday nights games are both Summit Conference contests, where the Lady Eagles are currently sitting in first place in the conference. If they can pick up both wins, they will be just one win away from being able to go undefeated in conference play and become the champions of the Summit Conference. Head Coach Kevin McDaris states he would love to fill the gym each night. Monday night is being deemed as Camo Night for the crowd.

Friday night will be the homecoming festivities. The school is inviting any past Homecoming Queens to the game to be recognized. Not only will there be all the homecoming festivities, the night will also present the second night of bingo. The theme of the bingo night will be One Hit Wonders. You may purchase a bingo card all week at any of the other three home games and during the JV game Friday night. The game will be played during the varsity game. All songs during the night will be from a One Hit Wonder playlist. When one of the songs are played and it is on your bingo card, you mark it. If you get a straight line on your card you have a chance to win 50% of the funds raised. 100 cards will be sold during the week. Come fill the stands and cheer on your Eagles and Lady Eagles all week long.
