Accumulating Snow Returns to Fordland
The National Weather Service warns that the chance for accumulating snow is increasing Sunday night into Monday. They say a narrow band of moderate to heavy snow is expected in the Ozarks and Fordland has been placed in the middle of this potential band. The NWS states that several inches of snow can be expected within this band; however, only a light trace in the areas outside this snow band. They say that up to 4 inches of snow could fall in the area; however, they are not totally confident in the area that will receive the snow. NWS says the snow will begin to fall primarily after midnight Sunday night and continue on into Monday. If the forecast continues to keep Fordland in this heavy band of snow, we can expect a weather statement from the National Weather Service with the possibility of a Winter Weather Advisory some time Sunday. We are currently NOT under any advisory. Stay tuned to fordlandnews.com as we will update as information is received from the NWS.
